Surface Sealing of burned DVD's and CD's

I require a simple sealing system for home generated (burned) CD and DVD disks to provide added endurance.
Commercially generated disks are pressed and sealed. Is there a simple chemical spray or coating that can be applied safely in the home environment to achieve a similar sealing effect after burning?
