Stealth mode blocks my internet conection

Zone Alarm has intermittently started blocking all programs, including allowed ones, when I have Internet Zone Security on High. It has always worked before, but now I often have to reduce my Internet Zone and Trusted Zone settings to Medium to get access. I have tried removing all programs and starting from scratch, but this does not help. I have tried repairing the local area connection (I have to have Zone Alarm on medium to be able to do this) but this does not help. I have tried to reset the data base, but it wokred for one day and than it start giving me the same problems.Can anyone tell me what is happening, and what to do about it
