Have you tried decompressing the file? I'm not sure if protected mode DOS apps are allowed in an NT DOS box. Will check.

I am running ALCH386.EXE for compressing image files with the paramaters -P -Q -_ .5i -X1.33x -D 300 300 -+ -o <inputfile> <outputfile>

This is being run on a Microsoft Transaction server having WindowsNT operating system.
The Virtual memory available on the server is 2309MB.The Size of the input file is less than 30KB.

You probably need a newer DOS4GW version, if you need it I got a few lying around (from duke nukem, descent etc.)
