EA have thoughtfully released a whole lot of different versions of 'patch 2' for FIFA 08 but haven't said which one Australian's should download. I've tried both the UK and North American version but they both say the Old file is not found (file with same name exists, etc). This is supposed to be due to me having the wrong patch or the game is cracked. The game's not cracked, so I must have the wrong version.
The whole reason I bought this game was so that I could play soccer online with a friend (otherwise I'd still be playing the old one) - so it's important I get this working.

Got it working.
I had to update the team lists before I could install the patch. (For others who have a similar prob, click Start - EA Sports - FIFA 08 - Check for updates.
Then click on the Flag for your language (or UK for other English-speaking countries like Australia). The click the link for Patch 2, then PC-DVD, then UK.exe.
Copy both downloaded files to the location where FIFA 08 is installed and run the updates for the teams before doing the patch.

I notice that Europe/Asia patches work on quite a few games when there is no Australia/Oceania option. If it's important, I'd download all the patches, then contact EA support. Failing that, play Pro Evo Soccer with Superpatch, it's much better :)
