New Dell Laptop, XPS 1530 with Vista 64 bit edition.

Nvidia 8500GT 258MB Vid Card
After an extensive download, and file check with the game, I get the infamous 0xc0000005 error. I have checked my ram, my video card, ect, and run other games on the machine. I have also set the program to run under the Windows XP SP2 settings, and that has not worked. I've checked my data execution prevention and allowed that to run Everquest. At this point I am out of ideas. I have tried running the registry programs that claim they will fix the problem, but they don't seem to run with the 64 bit edition of Vista.
Any other suggestions?

Running newest version of DX10. Updated drivers on Vid Card, Mobo, ect.
It will not even allow me to launch the game. The screen flickers 5 or 6 times, then tells me, "The exception unknown software eception (0xc000005) occurred in the application at location 0x0373dcce"
No DLLS or anything of that nature are given.
If you've never been able to run it this could be a connection issue with the client rather than a software problem.
Have you been through port forwarding or do you have a direct connection to the Internet rather than a router?
Do you know how to use Event Viewer in Vista? We might need to info from there to help troubleshoot.

The problem was the resolution in which I was trying to run it in. The games default resolution was too low for the screen or video card in which I was trying to run it in.

Which flavor of Vista?
Let's start with basics so make sure you've gone to M$ and downloaded the latest DX10. Also worth trying the Win Server 2003 in Compatibility Mode.
What DLL(s) are listed with the 0xc0000005 error?
Does it just happen with zoning?
