Question

Does anyone know the hover game that used to come on Win95???

Asked by: insanerino

Hey,
I just got and old computer from my aunt that is running Win95.  When I was younger, I remember playing a hover craft type game that came on Win95.  Does anyone know what that game is or where I can get it?  It was a cool game that you are in a hover craft type vehicle and you had to go around collecting flags and getting power ups and what not.  If you know what this game is, please email me ASAP.

-Thanks

I dont recall win95 comming with a hover craft game...But there are quite a few shareware games and freeware ones out there based on a hover craft.  Maybe one of those will work for you?
I did a google search using: Hovercraft win95
and it produced quite a few finds.

Ok, that didn't help much.  I think I'll just email Microsoft.  But anyone can feel free to post another answer.  By the way, it's not a racing game.  Your in a hover craft of some sort and you go around getting flags and power ups.  Does anyone know of this game???  please help.

I remember playing this game...
I can't verify this as I lost my Win95 CD.
I remember I didn't install the game but found it on the CD. If you still have the CD you might want to try the following:
Put in the CD and autostart it.
There might already be a link to the game. If not, try the other links, like "Windows-Tour"...
Maybe you find it.
If not, look at the content of the CD with the Windows Explorer. Look for a 'goodies' directory or something like that. Maybe you find it there.
Sorry for the poor information.
Tijoe

Thanks for the help Tijoe.  But, unfortunetly, I don't have the win95 disk.  My aunt didn't give it to me with the computer.  I called her and she no longer has it.  So, does anyone know another way of getting it?  Oh, and Tijoe, do you remember the name of the game?  I think I can find the game on the net somewhere if I knew the name.  Although, I don't like resorting to stealing the game, and I wont.  Maybe if I supply microsoft with my serial number, they can supply me the game free of charge... hmmm.  Any way, does anyone know the name of the game I describeed above?

I did a little research on the web for you:
The game is called Hover.
Hover.exe is located in the directory funstuff on the Win95 CD.
Hope you find it now!

Hello -

If anyone else needs the game - I have it in a Zip file.  :)

FYI - It isn't necessary to have the CD in the 'puter in order to play the game.  I just saved all of it into a folder on my desktop.
