Arghh!
Have been emailing a long time ff7 player about this
You CANNOT change the default keyboard settings in the PC version, the patches just improve gameplay and the ff7input patch just overides the lack of keypad on a laptop.  Apparently on the PC you can't alter the controller pad settings either!

Looks like your last post <<is the deal with this just that you cant change the stupid controls?!?!? >> is spot on!!

Sorry :(

I had the feeling you can change the controls ingame in the menu under control or settings... HAve you tried checking the ingame menu thoroughly?

Well you can change your controls I've done it yesterday (at least for my JoyPad it works). Ingame, bring up the menu, go to options/settings (apparently these are named different in different patches/US & UK versions), press down so 'Controller' is selected, then right to chose 'Custom', then your 'Select' button to go into the menu for setting up the keys!

This one's weird. I have gamer friend who says can't be done but mcwojtekk's fixed their joypad with no problem. We need coolcollin in on this, have you been able to fix the key settings??  Should we leave this as a PAQ solution which says; "Yes, but on the otherhand No?!"

mcwojtekk, can you confirm that the keyboard settings (rather than controller) can be changed?
