I don't understand why I cannot download the Flash Player for the Wii Opera browser. Thx

Because the Opera browser on the Wii is embedded.

The Wii comes with Flash Player 7 as standard which works well with most pages - is there a particular reason you need to upgrade?

My kid was trying to play Curious George's game at pbskids.org at it said to download the Flash plug-in but when I got to the Adobe web site, it said that the Wii browser does not support it.
Also, I am trying to play some video file through the tvarsity application. Wii browser reports an error saying that it cannot play *.flv files, which is the Flash files.

If your getting an error that it cannot play FLV files you will need to enable transcoding in tversity to a format that the wii can play.

Goto http://tversity.com/support/quickstart/ and scroll down until you find the section labeld as "For owners of the Nintendo Wii"

there is a guide here on how to setup tversity for the nintendo wii.
