How to connect the Xbox 360 Slim to a dual-band 5ghz wireless network.
Hi Experts,
I have an Xbox 360 Slim and a NetGear N900 Dual-Band Wireless router (WNDR4500). I have setup both networks (2.4GHz and 5GHz). However, the Xbox only sees the 2.4Ghz network and connects just fine. However, I want to use the 5Ghz for the Xbox and the 2.4GHz for all other devices.
I read somewhere that inorder for the xbox to pick up the 5Ghz band, I have to buy the Microsoft Wireless N Adapter for the Xbox. Is this true? Is it compatible with the Netgear N900?
I don't want to waste my money if it turns out that the XBox 360 Slim does not even support wireless N @ 5Ghz.
Thanks in advance.
