Wireless connection of Xbox 360 to Belkin ADSL router

Have purchased an Xbox360 and added the network wireless adaptor to be able to use Xbox live. The adaptor shows a constant red light on.  The system to which we are trying to connect has a Belkin ADSL router.  With this we have a desptop PC connected by wire and 2 notebooks each connected with a wireless network card.  All 3 are running fine.  However the Xbox will not connect.  In settings it seems to see the wireless router but will not connect to it.  Help desk for Xbox tried a number of system settings but ended up saying that it must be the router that is causing the the problem.  The Belkin customer service say that as the router is working fine with our notebooks the problem must be with the Xbox.  Round and round the mulberry bush comes to mind.  Has anyone any experience of a problem such as this?Start Free Trial
