STINO,

as you will notice, no more POKEMAN "rom" questions for you to answer lately. Im on guard thats why! :)

by: topjag112Posted on 1999-07-06 at 20:46:33ID: 1111102

what is that sapossed to mean? I think that that is kind of a  crapy answer.

by: topjag112Posted on 1999-07-06 at 21:08:35ID: 1111103

just tell me where I can get a working rom.

by: scrapdogPosted on 1999-07-06 at 22:55:40ID: 1111104

The chip inside your cartridge contains the working ROM.

Plug the cartridge into the "Game Boy" (a machine), and turn it on.  This machine will attain 100% emulation.

I dont have a cartrige I got a copy of pokemon gold from the internet please tell me where I can get a working emulator and please hurry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by: BigDawg98Posted on 1999-07-08 at 09:35:00ID: 1111106

1)  EE doesn't want these kind of questions...
2)  None, MRWILLZ was lying the rom is a fake, unless its the one on the ACTUAL GB CARTRIDGE

by: scrapdogPosted on 1999-07-08 at 15:19:51ID: 1111107

If you don't have a cartridge, grab a credit card and visit www.wal-mart.com or go to your nearest Pamida store.  The cartridge will probably cost you $29.95 and the emulation unit will cost you about fifty bucks.

Once you have the cartridge, follow the advice I gave above.

by: threeps99Posted on 1999-07-08 at 15:37:21ID: 1111108

I like that advice :)

by: scrapdogPosted on 1999-07-09 at 23:21:40ID: 1111109

Yes, good advice, but I don't think it's good enough for the whole ten points.  Give me 7 points and we'll call it even.

ben82584,

As part of the customer agreement, we ask that customers not violate any applicable local, state, national, or international laws which would include copyright laws.

The law as i know it is that you may keep the emulator if you have a game boy and any roms that you have the cartridge for as long as you want, if not, then it's 24 hours.  i do believe that i have a legal copy and am willing to distribute it where it would be at the new users discretion to use legally, so i restate my proposition, post a comment w/ email topjag112 and i would be glad to send it to you.

by: scrapdogPosted on 1999-07-28 at 02:06:00ID: 1111113

>if not, then it's 24 hours

This is not the law, it's propaganda made up by bootleggers.

Even if it were legal, it doesn't mean it's accepted at experts-exchange.  I don't think anyone here would have a major problem with you distributing your roms, but E-E is not the medium to advertise it on.

by: threeps99Posted on 1999-07-28 at 02:10:39ID: 1111114

ben82584,

Please goto http://www.experts-exchange.com/Computers/Games/Emulators/Q.10173065 . This is from the system administrator. And she states :

"We are concerned about copyright issue with pokemon and any other copyrighted games.  Therefore it is Experts Exchange's position that we DO NOT want pokemon request posted at the site."

From emulator requests to ROM requests, its clear that they are not wanted at the site. By advertising them or requesting them you are in breach of the Customer Agreement at experts-exchange and also probably from your ISP.

Experts Exchange tries to maintain a professional site where people can get solutions to their problems. Not a place to trade ROMS and games, regardelss of the 24 hour rule.

Please dont advertise ROMS here.

by: scrapdogPosted on 1999-07-28 at 02:13:57ID: 1111115

>From emulator requests

This is where you may be wrong...emulation itself is legal.  Since this is an "Emulators" board, it seems logical that someone may ask where an emulator can be downloaded.  It is the ROM images that are illegal.

by: ben82584Posted on 1999-07-28 at 02:16:16ID: 1111116

okay all, im sorry, i didn't know all of that, anyway, your pokemon gold is in japanese, i just remembered, they haven't made it in english yet.  if i want to find stuff, just search for it, no one knows, no one cares.

by: ben82584Posted on 1999-07-28 at 02:18:34ID: 1111117

oh, and by the way, i am ,,../---===NOT===---\..,, advertising anything, i am only trying to help the person, is that a crime, if we didn't do it here, we could do it elsewhere, and if so, i am still not doing anything illegal, im not asking for money etc.  so please don't bug me about it.

by: scrapdogPosted on 1999-07-28 at 02:19:19ID: 1111118

Well I'll tell you what, at one point there were a 100 people who supposedly *knew* about pokemon-gold...but they are gone now.

by: scrapdogPosted on 1999-07-28 at 02:20:07ID: 1111119

>if we didn't do it here, we could do it elsewhere

exactly

by: ben82584Posted on 1999-07-28 at 02:21:17ID: 1111120

exactly what??

by: threeps99Posted on 1999-07-28 at 02:25:05ID: 1111121

>This is where you may be wrong...emulation itself is legal.

Yes, but Linda has said she doesnt want "pokemon requests". Which covers the emulator and ROM.

>i am only trying to help the person, is that a crime

No, its not, however its agaisnt the customer agreement and probably your ISP if you start trading ROMS.

Go look at a search engine or something. Just dont do it here. We all could suuffer becuase of the actions of the few.

Hey Cooljc where did you get the emulator to run pokegold/silver? and has anyone else found an emulator that runs it? I heard that Ultra Boy version 1.1 will run it

Also, where can i get the newest version of NO$GMB?

by: CooljcPosted on 1999-10-30 at 13:05:11ID: 2171717

Your Right 21587 and i can email the latest version of no$gmb.

by: 21587Posted on 1999-11-02 at 02:24:42ID: 2176616

My e-mail is it_sucks_here@hotmail.com

I think the problem isn't really the emulator, it's getting a REAL pokemon gold rom. But if anyone has a Rom that WORKS please tell everyone where to get it because it would make a lot of people happy

by: BLUNTEDPosted on 1999-11-02 at 03:12:00ID: 2176689

21587 how do you run ultra boy..................................................oh yeah if emulators are so illegal then how come there in stores now ex: bleem

by: 21587Posted on 1999-11-02 at 16:31:35ID: 2178712

Did it have something like Test 2000 in it? If so then Ultra Boy is just a myth because both files are exactly the same but they just have different names

by: scrapdogPosted on 1999-11-02 at 19:53:48ID: 2178912

KIDS

Why don't you play some REAL games, not this pansy pokemon ****.

Asteroids, Space Invaders, these are the real classics.

by: CooljcPosted on 1999-11-09 at 11:19:44ID: 2194947

I have Ultra Boy 1.1 but like the guy said it is messed up.

by: 21587Posted on 1999-11-10 at 01:29:59ID: 2196345

well then I think that there is probably no way to play pokegold/silver, its hard enough to get the rom but an emulator to run it?? yeah right, also it would be kinda hard to play in JAPANESE....if the controlling is different, if there is no way to play it I guess we'll have to wait till it comes out in the US

BUT....if someone knows where to get a working rom and emulator then post the site on here
