With all due respect, in regards to the answer provided by MASQUERAID. Of the two listed at your link, Boycott Advance will NOT run Gameboy Color games (which Pokemon Red is). Visual Boy Advance will run them, however, I would HIGHLY suggest using KiGB in the link I provided over Visual Boy Advanced provided in the link by MASQUERAID..
Agreed KiGB is a great GBC emulator and works with GB Classic but it is only really GB Classic games that Boycott doesn't support at all.
Good call by zefyxftw in sticking with GBC though.
In any event they are all written by the same guy, Richard Bannister who is a wizard in porting other platforms onto the Mac.

You'll need a Gameboy Advance emulator for the Mac om/doc.php /mac/
