Sega Dreamcast Mod Chip

I have heard that currently no Dream Cast Mod Chip allows you to play CD backups of games. I've been told that the DC modchips out on the market right now only offer an override to the geographic lockout code.  Is this true or is it just a disclaimer in order to prevent their site from catching heat from SEGA?  Would definitely appreciate some clarification...Start Free Trial
