Same issues, the game has to be NAT friendly.
Also 1 IP and ICS (internet connection sharing) will suffer same consequences.
Sorry, but newer games is better taking care of this problem....

Browse All TopicsI have 2 PC's on the same LAN and im using a linksys router with a 4 port switch. The router has a built in NAT firewall and I only have 1 IP address from my ISP. I am trying to play age of empire:age of kings-conquerers with the two pcs at the same time so me and my brother can play together. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi darius!
I have the same router then you. i had the same problem, with starcraft tho! i tried almost everything i knew and it never worked, to me it seems that the game wasnt well coded to handle that case. But their latest game warcraft3 handle this case. they just might have improved their technology, to handle sub IP or masked IP.
Me and my roomate coudnt play on the same server at the same time but we could play on 2 different server at the same time.
