Though I would recommend staying away from betting in real life, but I too love cricket statistics ... You can get authentic and more varied crickets stats from wisden cric-info site

The game looks like fun and should be a big hit with all the cell-phone using cricket fans out there. As far as using any results as a means of handicapping the matches, maybe not such a good idea. In essence the game is merely a numerical representation of the activities involved in the sport. To efficiently pick cricket match winners that sort of data could be useful but you could do better by including other factors (ie rosters, injuries, match location etc).
In the gambling world, sports betting is a tantalyzingly difficult activity. To succeed you need to be really good(talented, devoted, disciplined) or really lucky.
You can get some more gambling info at www.twoplustwo.com it's mostly poker but there's coverage of lots of other gambling activities that can be profitably engaged in.
