One of my clients has a game called Fallout 3 by Microsoft and is having problems playing online. He has no issues playing the game localy on his computer. But when he goes to play online, nothing happens. While in the game during the options to select the game or play online, there is the option to select "Live". After he selects it, nothing loads. It is just dormant for about 10 seconds then you are able to hover and select another option. He has created an Windows live game profile and loggs in. There are updates to the game that were available (expansion packs of sorts) that he has installed and when I looked at his settings, he did not have any of his prots setup on his router. But I added that and it still will not load the live option.
This is a Windows Vista home premium 64 bit maching that meets the system requirements for the game. He is running through a D-Link DIR 625 router wirelessly. This is an Acer Aspire 8935 laptop that has Mccaffee installed on it but the required firewall settings have been added to the exception list.
If anyone has any idea what the problem might be, Please let know.
Thanks
Rob
