age of empires 2 the conquerors expansion

lately when i have gone into a room to host or join a game my mouse starts to act wierd, ill try to move it and it freezes for a couple seconds, then i can move it for a couple seconds, then i cant move it, then i can...The first time it happened was during a game.  This does ont happen in any other games or programs. What should i do?
