Question
Network Game connection problem
I have used both my computers networked in the past to play games via local LAN, but about a month ago I wiped my main drive, and reinstalled Windows ME from scratch on Computer 1. I've reinstalled the games I wanted to play on both computers. Each computer sees each other in Network neighborhood, and I can ping comp #1 to comp #2 and comp #2 to comp #1 with no problems at all. I recently went to Play Giants: Citizen Kabuto in a local TCP/IP game using Comp #1 as host. Comp #2 could see the game on comp #1 but everytime it tried to connect to it, comp #2 would time out. I tried to host on comp #2 and Comp #1 could not even see the game on comp #2. I have had the same problem with a few other games I have tried to. I reinstalled the adapters on both comps, and have also reinstalled TCP/IP on both comps. Any other ideas would surely be appreciated! Thanx!
