XP Admin Error

Hi i have a two games that will for some reason not let me play. I am using windows xp pro. Well i open my newly installed games and i get an error "please login with administrator privileges." I am the admin though...so i also tried on every other account and it still wont work. I have no idea what to do. Should i reinstall XP? And if i did have to go that far how do i keep my files?

PS the games are BF1942 and MOHAA:Spearhead.

I have tried to run the games in compatibility mode also and no results. It must be something to do with my computer networking or OS problems.
