I created some "buy scripts" last week. So now I look like "jonny-on-the-ball" for a couple of seconds before getting poped.
I'll check out that zombie mod, sounds good.

Counter Strike: Source "Newbie needs help"
I bought Half Life 2 a couple of weeks ago, and it’s absolutely brilliant. It’s the best horror movie I have ever been in!
I got Counter Strike: Source up and running last weekend, and it’s even better. Great maps, weapons, equipments, graphics, sound and atmosphere. There is only one problem with it. I totally suck at it! I think my deaths to kill ratio is about 50:1
I never played the original counter strike!
Can I play it offline against bots? How?
How do you use aliasing to quickly buy armour, weapons and equipment?

ah, yeah im not too good at it either..but its a fun game
neways like the first guy said u can create a room with bots on it...
and to quickly buy weapons use your hotkeys..like what i do is have my number key on the numpad "1" set to primary ammo, "2" to secondary weapon ammo, and "3" set to equipment...so when it starts where u have to buy stuff...i hit "b" for buy, then choose my weapon, then after that i hit "1" to get x ammo for it and "3" to go to my equipment screen...and there i have the keys i want for each gernade or armor...so i hit "3" "2" [kevlar and helmet] "3" (because after u hit 2 it goes back so u have to hit your equipment button again) "3" "3" [first flashbang] "3" "3" [second flashbang] "3" "4" [he gernade] "3" "5" [smoke gernade]....that way within 5 seconds i have my weapon, x ammo for it, kevlar and helmet, 2 flashbangs, 1 he gernade, and 1 smoke gernade...then im ready for battle
by the way another tip is that with a rifle or a deagle u can shoot through doors...so if u see someone run behind a door, shoot it because the bullet will go through...

For quick buying I have a pretty cool way, I think.
Bind leftarrow to Buy Primary Ammo
Bind rightarrow to Buy Secondary Ammo
Bind uparrow to Buy Menu
Bind downarrow to Buy Equipment
That makes it really fast and out of the way to buy whatever you want really quickly... cause you open the menus with your right hand and select th eguns with your left.

Bind mwheelup to slot1
Bind mwheeldown to slot2
Bind t slot4
That way I can easily get from primary, secondary, and grenades quickly.

If Steam has updated it to the latest version you can Create a Local Server and it will ask you about bots etc.
Also look out for Zombie Horde mod - you can only kill the Zombies via headshots so makes good practice for those who need to aim better.
I've been playing CS:S and CS1.6 for ages but I still suck at it!
