The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Counter-Strike trick

Tags: counter-strike
Can anyone teach me how to somewhat freeze the opponent for half a second for better aiming? This is not Source, and I know it is not the system having low fps as i've played on the same system with up to 72 fps. I've seen gamers locally do this, and they usually are good in sniping because of this. And I know that they type some commands in the console. Any suggestion would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

This sounds more like a CS hack than it does a 'trick'. Most likely those users you have seen are using something like an aimbot, some sort of sniper assist program or weapons script that was designed to make the user fire faster/easier.

Btw, EE and its experts are not here for providing hacks nor cheats or any combination thereof.

Also an expert, I understand it is illegal to post questions regarding hacks, but i'm pretty sure this is not a hack. We play the game by renting a system on an internet station with admin rights enabled, and the hard drive files cannot be accessed easily. I'm pretty sure they do it in the console window as i've seen them typing long lists of commands. Anyway, i'm just curious about these commands. Any other feedback would be very much appreciated.

Me too!  - To be honest I think you got a good answer from mwecomputers about what is going on when you see this.

Techinically I'd agree with you, this isn't a hack (usually) it's a Mod, but I would hope you would agree that using a mod like this is purely to give a player an advantage over another by using software not skill.

I'm a fairly old-school games player - I would call it a cheat.  Using a cheat on a stand-alone or 'play against the computer' AI may be acceptable if you're not prepared to play the game though normally but when you are playing against live opponents without their knowledge then personally  I feel that is unacceptable.

You will almost certainly find details of the kind of Mods discussed online but I wouldn't expect you to find them on this site.

M :o)
