CPU Temperature capture to disk.

Hi All,

We have an estate of several hundred units running Windows XP. Some units seem to be overheating. Has anyone come across a freeware/shareware tool we can run on each unit that can record the current CPU temperature to disk?

Thanks Callandor,

The primary requirements are:

0. Record CPU and perhaps HD temp.
1. No need for UI. Need to log to disk.
2. No need for install. Need to deploy by copying it there and launching it remotely.

I couldnt get MBM to work, it didnt recognise my MOBO but that doesnt mean a lot. The units it is to run on are different.

XR Perfmon looks interesting.

Any thoughts about:

It may not support the MOBO we have but it sounds like exactly what I am looking for. Is there anything else as trivial as that?

I understand there is a BIOS function for core temp. Where can I find call details or sample code?

CoreTemp looks pretty good - another which I've used is SpeedFan: http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php  The difficult part is finding one that is compatible with all your hardware, as there is no single solution that I know of that works for everything.
