What is the deal with all of the new Intel Dual this and that processor ratings? I'm looking at a T5550 and a T2080 and I don't know which one is supposed to be the better processor. The T5550 runs at 1.66 Ghz, and the T2080 runs at 1.73 Ghz. So is the higher T number better? Or is the higher Ghz better? Maybe the T5550 has more cache?
I can tell you that I'm running the T5550 in my laptop right now. I've been using this laptop for over 8 months. I'm thinking of buying a different laptop with a larger screen, larger HD, more ram, and (you guessed it) a T2080 CPU, but my gut is telling me that would be a downgrade on the CPU. Is that right? If it helps, my T5550 is a Centrino Duo, and the newer T2080 is a Pentium Dual Core,,,,,,, Does that mean my current laptop has a dual Celeron processor?
Thanks for your incite to the new CPU market!!!
