SNMP CPU Counters Sometimes Report Over 100%

Asked by xbanditox in Windows 2003 Server, Computer CPU Processors

Hi, I use ipmonitor 9 to collect CPU statistics via SNMP protocol - Every so often, one of my reports come out with a CPU over 100%, sometimes in the 200% area. It seems to be generally on certain APP servers that run into busy spike periods... I'm not too privy on how the processor CPU total is calculated (cycles over time period?), but does anyone have any experience in a spiking CPU causing over 100% CPU reading?Start Free Trial
