The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Computer keeps shutting off

Just bought new computer. Here are the specs:
asus p5n-e sli motherboard
intel core duo 2.13
kingston 1 gig ddr2 800 mhz
nvidia geforce sli 8600 gt pci-e
sata western dig 250 gig drive
450 watt PSU

Everything is all setup. I can run windows and any application in windows except my favorite 3d video game. After about 30 seconds of the video game being loaded the system just shuts off. The motherboard LED is still lit up and if I start the comp again, it will shut off while loading windows. If I turn the switch off and then turn it back on and let windows load, I can use anything in windows just not the video game. I tried a 3d screen saver and after about 30 seconds the comp shut off. The thing that bothers me is that if I let the comp sit in the BIOS for about a minute it also shuts off the pc. I dont think I have heat issues because I have the CPU fan and the system fan and the house A/C blowing on it. Any ideas?
