Hello,
Recently I started experiencing some difficulties with my PC.
For some reason, while playing CS, I get a hardware hang up. The video suddenly stops, sound jitters for a few seconds and also stops, and the keyboard stops responding (even the caps lock light does not switch while pressing).
Also from time to time I have problems restarting the PC when this described problem occurs. I press the reset button, I can hear the HDD turning back on, but there is no video signal to my monitor, tried reseting a couple of times, still the same. Then I shut down the PC while holding the "Turn on" button for a few secs, wait a couple of minutes and the PC seems to be fine. I have a guess that this might be my VGA problem.
I have opened the PC, tried cleaning the dust, this did not help. I also had an idea that this might be because overheating so I attached an extra cooler to my VGA, and also left the hood of the PC opened. It really gets all the cool air it needs. Please give some directions which part of my CPU it could be.
I also have a hunch that this could be caused by the power block, because the cooler of the power block seems not to be working. Also my PC is on 24/7 and at the moment it's cool. The VGA seems to be hot I might say. It is on the edge of the state when its too hot to keep your hand on the radiator.
Also from time to time when my computer goes to "screen turn off" mode, when I try to bring the windows back on , all I see is my wallpaper and my mouse. The mouse is responding normally, but I do not see the login screen. I tried all different combinations which still should work while not logged on, like ctrl+alt+del, some times they work and some times they don't. This might be a software problem so if this has nothing to do with the first problem, do not pay attention to it.
