Restore previous bios

Hi,I have a Medion Laptop MD 96640,wim 2180.I am running W7 RC1,XP and also have ubuntu 9.10.I posted a thread on the ubuntu forums regarding a boot glitch.In a attempt to solve this problem I updated to the latest bios v1.0E downloaded from the Medion website.Since doing this update the fan runs continuously which is destroying battery life and makes the computer unusable in a quiet room,not to mention added wear and tear on the fan motor.I rang the extremely unhelpful Medion "helpline" looking for help to restore the previous bios.I was told to return it to them at a cost of£100.50 plus parts!! So much for 3 yr warranty
