The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

How do I know which RAM sticks fit my computer? Are these good?

Asked by Yukimin in Computer Memory (RAM), Windows XP Operating System, Miscellaneous Hardware

Hello,
I have made a post a while ago, but didn't have the time to actually buy the RAM sticks. Now I am looking to buy RAM stickies within next few days as I really can't stand how slow and easily locked up my computer is. But the problems is I don't know if the RAM stickies fit my computer or not.

Anyways, for reference, this is the old resolved thread: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Hardware/Components/Memory/Q_22393549.html
Which 5t34lth_G33k suggested a wonderful site for me to check for suitable RAM stickies. (http://www.crucial.com/) The SCAN result shows that I have 4 slots in my computer, 2 already in use, and I can put 2 more stickies into the 2 empty ones.
The results include the following suggested RAMs:
http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=F5E6855BA5CA7304
http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=2CD5015DA5CA7304
http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=7B9D885AA5CA7304

It seems all of them have 184-Pin, so I assume that is one of the requirements that is needed in order for the stickies to fit? (Please note that I don't know much about it =/ )
The reason that I look at Newegg.com because of the Crucial's prices seem to be kinda expensive compare to Newegg. I found these 2 from Newegg.com which seems good. But I don't know if they will fit my computer. I assume the price is for 1 1GB stick? So, if I have 2 empty slots, then that means I could add 2 1GB to it (which will make it 2GB?) Please correct me if I am wrong.

Anyways, how do I know if those stickies will fit my computer (the ones from Newegg, since the Crucial ones said it is guaranteed to work (the 3 results from Crucial)).

And, my computer is eMachine T6216 PC Desktop (http://www.e4me.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T-Series&model=T6216)

Please help, thanks in advance.
