The Solution Rating System

Cannot clean install OS

I am trying to perform a clean install of XP after formatting the HD.  As files are copying over I get messages that a particular file did not copy.  If I proceed it loads several more and then tells me anoth file did not install.

The problem is not the HD as I have tried several and the result is the same.  The problem is not the CD as I have tried other CDs (XP and 2000) and the result is the same.  The only alternative is RAM.  Can it be the problem with these symptoms?Start Free Trial
