The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution.   • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. I have an HP Blade server and it has 3gb of ram, I upgraded the ram to 6GB and it only reads 3.75

Hi Experts,

  I have a blade server which had 3gb of ram, well i upgraded the ram to 6GB and in the bios and on the POST it reads 6GB but when i check the Systems Properties it reads 3.75. I installed SP2 and that didn't help. I checked the BIOS but i couldn't see anything and I don't want to edit the boot.ini cause last time I did this on another system is fff it all up and I had to reload the OS again. Start Free Trial
