Memory ? - it's using PC-6400 now - can I use PC10600?
Trying to find out if this MB / chipset combo with work with PC10600 memory and would it be worth it?

Although DDR3 modules are the same physical dimension as DDR2 and DDR modules, the plug-in connector configuration is different and as such DDR3 modules are not compatible with PCS requiring DDR2 modules, and vice-versa.
Agreed with above comments. You cannot use DDR3 memory in a DDR2 motherboard.
Even if you could, everything I have read lines up with my experience. The difference between DDR2 and DDR3 isn't even noticeable, but DDR3 costs twice as much.
As for me, I am sticking with DDR2 as long as prices are favorable to do so. When you can get 4 gigs of ram for $80, suddenly the hunger for raw speed seems more like the munchies for a small snack -- you can live without.
