Browse All TopicsI have upgraded our Server 2003 32-bit machine running SBS 2003 SP2 to 8GB of RAM.
I've seen so much information on using /PAE and /3GB switches in the boot.ini file to enable to use of this extra RAM that I don't know which to use. I want to allow applications, *especially* Exchange to take advantage of the extra memory.
Should I be using /PAE? /3GB? or both at the same time? If you recommend one over the other, please explain why. Thank you!

I would not recommend the /3GB switch on SBS, but yes to the /PAE switch.. Have a look at this, this should explain it.. Good luck!
