I have a hp pavilion dv2000 the power seems to be getting to the board but the screen will not turn on, i read some threads on the net and figured it might be the lid switch so i opened it up and disconnected the cable but it's still giving me the same problem. when i open the cd drive and close it thats the only time the lapton seems like its going to do something the machine revs up and goes back down again and the lights start blinking the light where you know the computer is thinking but the monitor will not turn on so i can not edit or change any bois settings or any other settings, i also tried to repeatedly press F10 and other function keys but no luck, anyone have any ideas, bad motherboard maybe? or maybe the switch is ruined? maybe ram not working?????Start Free Trial
