SDRAM Question!

Okay, so it's been awhile since I played with SDRAM (PC100 or PC133). But I seem to remember hearing that you can mix different speeds and different sizes (PC100 128MB should play nice with PC133 256MB), but you can't mix single sided memory sticks with double sided memory sticks (for the SDRAM PC1XX variety), is this true?
