The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution.   • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Biostar MB Crash after driver update

I built a Biostar GeForce6100-M9 PC for my son. During a game installation, he updated a driver it recommended and the computer BSOD'd. I'm a pc tech but can't reinstall Windows from the CD because it always gets stuck copying one file or another. I tried removing the RAM cards one at a time and swapping them around, but the error remains the same so I don't think it's the RAM. I think it's a bad driver in the MB but I can't figure out how to change it back since the OS (Win XP Home) won't install in the first place. Any ideas?Start Free Trial
