Hi there :)
Recently I purchased all the parts for my new PC and made what was an awesome machine - for a few weeks!
Spec Below, I had overclocked it slightly and the machine was running fine until this weekend, since then ive removed the overclock and im still getting the problems:
Abit IP35 Pro XE Motherboard
Intel Q6600 Core 2 Quad Core Processor
4GB Crucial Ballistix (4 x 1GB)
DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Memory
BFG 9800GTX+ Graphics
Corsair 750W PSU
The problem im getting with this machine is randomly an application will crash, be it firefox, iexplorer or some games im playing, and normally shortly after i'll get a BSOD and machine will reboot (im not had a chance to read what the BSOD said yet as it rebooted too fast, ive unchecked the option to reboot automatically now though).
On reboot ive checked the event logs and I have one saying that an application crashed:
"Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 7.0.6000.16674, faulting module mshtml.dll, version 7.0.6000.16674, fault address 0x000b1c70."
and another which doesnt really make sense to me:
"Error code 10000050, parameter1 aca0f20c, parameter2 00000000, parameter3 8050923a, parameter4 00000000."
or
"Error code 1000000a, parameter1 002e0034, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 8051b44a."
Since then ive run a chkdsk and all seems fine there. Ive also removed 2 GB RAM from the machine to try and see if it was maybe some of the memory but the problem persisted. I then swapped the RAM I left in the machine from the black mobo slots they were in and into the blue ones, and also changed the RAM sticks over to the ones I took out but the problem still persists.
Ive run the Microsoft Memory Tester overnight with 2 of the sticks of ram in the machine and the LRAND, Stride6 & WMATS+ tests all failed.
It seems very strage that I would get these errors with any sticks of my memory in, I would have thought it would be very unlikely that multiple sticks of RAM would go bad just like that? So kinda suggests that my motherboard was maybe at fault, what do you guys think?
See link below for a Minidump from my last BSOD, but I have now changed the settings to output a Small Memory Dump when I next get a BSOD and will supply this too.
