After update the latest video driver and bios, P5GL-MX also support 128MB maximum video memory, not 244MB. So I wonder if P5GL-MX has supported 2048x1536 maximum resolution or not. I have not LCD screen for test.

Though the board only supports 128 MB of RAM for the video Card, the Intel Chipset for the video card is what actually determines the maximum resolution.
As a result, the board should have no worries supporting a resolution of 1440x900
I have several cheap ASUS Motherboards running in different PC's with 19" Wide LCD monitors and they are all running at 1440x990 without an issue.
Also an older board (4-5 Years Old) with intel GPU running at 1440x900 without issue on a 19" Wide LCD.

It is highly recommended to update to the latest video driver (available from the ASUS website) and depending how old your board is, you may need to do a BIOS Update. Also available from the ASUS Website.
Latest Version Video Driver: V14.15.0.4363
