Browse All TopicsI've got an ageing gaming platfrom and I'm a bit poor to do the total upgrade business and get myself a new system. However my old system has got some life in it.
AMD FX-55
2GB PC-2300 (specialist) RAM
Geforce 6800 GT
I'm hoping to upgrade the graphics card to at least a Geforce 7800GS, but will my motherboard support it. THe AGP apature is 8x (I think)
Due to the specialist memory it would cost too much to upgrade to 4GB, I don't want to throw away 2GB of memory that I can't use anywhere else.
Does anyone know what AGP cards are supported?
Any other tips on upgrading (other than flaming me to buy a new machine)

The fastest agp card available is the ATI HD 3850 and it should work fine on your board as long as your power supply will handle it.
