Should have no issues as long as the correct slot is availble and you have the drivers for the OS.

I have possibly do a BIOS update prior.

That is what I need to know - does this motherboard have the correct slot?

the adaptec card is PCI-X 64-bit//133 MHz host interface (3.3 volts only)

the motherboards has :

two PCI Express x16, three PCI, and one PCI Express x1. The primary PCI Express x16 is able to run at full PCI-E x16 speeds; however, the secondary slot only provides a PCI Express x4 signal

No this card will not work in your motherboard the card you have needs to be put in a PCI-X slot.
