yeah it doesn't make sense to load the agent in guest OS

Browse All TopicsDoes anybody have step by step instructions to get the APC PCNS agent for Linux to successfully install on the latest flavor of Ubuntu? The install succeeds but the required ./PCNSconfig.sh script fails to recognize the application as installed.
Need to get this to work in a Multiple UPS environment...these UBUNTU servers are VM's on ESX 3.5 U4 if that helps....

I would have thought you would load the APC agent on the ESX server, so that if it receives the trigger that power has been lost, it can shutdown all the VM's? So why load it in a guest on the ESX host?
