How can I check if power supply unit is not working?

HI There
5 year  Packard bell imedia 5004 is not powering on. Up to about a week ago it would power on and boot up. Now when I try to power it will not work. I have tried 3 different power cables, no result. I can't fgure out if the switch is gone or the PSU
