Using a different laptop charger with a different Amp output?
I have a laptop that i need to test if its working but haven't been provided with the charger.
The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite M60-164. I've done a little research and found that i need a 19v adapter but the amps are a little confusing as one adapter i have found for sale that says works with this model outputs 4.75a and the other one i have found outputs 3.95a.
I have an adapter that's also a 19v and the connection is the same and fits the dc socket perfectly but it outputs 3.42a.
What would happen if anything if i used the adapter i have with the 3.42a which does appear to be a lower amp to the original adapters which are either 3.95 or 4.75. The voltage is the same so does it make much difference whether the amps are a bit different?

battery amps = battery amp requirements (meaning a change/raise in the mAh value which is known to happen may cause for higher amps to keep the charge time equal to what the charge time was before the mAh raise)
