Diagnose hp beep code.

I have an hp d325 desktop (skyhawk L motherboard). When powerd on there is no video, it just beeps 5 times pauses for  about 3 seconds and starts to beep again.This goes on non stop. I have already tried booting the motherboard with just memory and even without memory installed but the same thing happens. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks

The fact that the beeps do not change with memory installed or uninstalled is crucial. A functioning stripped board should give a different error message with bad ram vs one with no ram. If your board is stripped of every removable item including the memory pulled then there are only a few more steps for diagnosis.
1. Is the PS outputting the proper voltage on all rails?
2. Is the cmos battery holding correct voltage.
3. Have you reset the cmos to default?

If yes to all then the board is a goner.

Here my troubleshooting procedure :
i suggest testing with the minimum setup - disconnect also all peripherals and network cables :
motherboard + cpu + 1 ram stick, video card, power supply
verify that the 4-pin cpu Aux power plug is connected
on boot, do you have a display?
if NO it is one of the connected, swap ram, Power supply, video card or monitor - leaving only motherboard and cpu
if Yes, add devices till the problem shows

Don't know the BIOS on that model of machine but if it is an AMI BIOS the error is indicating a processor error.

I'd examine the motherboard and check that CPU fan is connected.  I'd also check that the CPU is properly seated and attached to the motherboard.
