Windows XP Drivers for Conexant High-Definition Audio

I have a Compaq Presario C701TU that came pre-loaded with Vista on it. I have uninstalled it and reloaded Windows XP Pro w/SP2 and have located all the drivers successfully except for the Sound Card.

It's a Conexant High-Definition Audio card.  I have loaded the UAA drivers into XP, but cannot find a suitable (one that works) driver for the card. This is driving me up the wall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried that particular driver, to no avail. The driver wizard will not accept it as a valid driver, and when I do a forced installation (using the 'I will select a driver' and 'Have Disk' option) the driver installs, but the device will not start, even after a reboot.
What is the SP number of the UAA that you installed? Did that install succeed?

souseran: your non-HP driver did the trick. Thanks very much.
FYI I didn't need to change the INF file, I just did a manual driver install from those source files. Thanks very much
@septje,

Glad it worked. :-) Thanks for the points and thanks for the update about not needing to change the .INF
