A few days ago on Experts Exchange I was advised to use Camtasia Studio to record a streaming webinar. So I acquired a copy of the latest version of Camtasia Studio, but the recording plays back only video without audio, so no good.
MY PC is a Panasonic Toughbook CF-52 running XP Pro with 4gb of RAM. The sound card is a SoundMAX HD Audio. Camtasia FAQs suggest the problem might be that the sound card does not support direct audio recording. Considering this is a high end laptop, it's hard to believe the sound card would not support direct audio recording. The Camtasia work-around is to use a "jumper wire" to connect the line out and mic jacks. No idea what they have in mind for a jumper wire or how this would work. What does it take to configure the SoundMAX HD Audio card to enable Camtasia to record a webinar with audio?
