Does my Laptop with HDMI "jack" need a TV tuner?

I have a Dell XPS 1530 with and HDMI "jack" and I tried to connect it to the TV to record television content, but Windows Media Center says that I don't have a tuner.  Do I need one and if so, could you recommend one.Start Free Trial
