Installing nVidia video card causes device manager Code 12

I am recently upgrading a video card in a Sony VAIO VGC-RA834G (Windows XP SP3) from a nVidia GeForce 6600 to a nVidia GeForce 8600 GT (x16 PCI Express Slot). I uninstalled the old drivers and card then installed the new card and drivers. It seems to be using the VgaSafe drivers and in the device manager the device states "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)" . My system meets all the minimum requirements. Any ideas on how I can resolve this?Start Free Trial
