HI,

I have changed all the safe mode settings to off (in the bios/ on the desktop). After a while, while im in the middle of typing or reading an email or surfing the web, the monitor suddenly goes into sleep mode but wont come back up when i hit keys on the keyboard or shake the mouse, i have to hold in the power button on the PC (shut it off) and turn it back on. This happens quite often through out the day. I have updated the video card and Bios to the most recent. the monitor setting through Nvidia are set at 800/600. I have a gxforce 5200 video driver. I am using a windows 2000 machine. i opened the case up and looked at the video drive that the monior plugs into and didnt see any external issues. I am not sure what the problem can be.
