I have successfly badded two radeon 2400 cards for the HP l3065. When I was testing the monitors and cards i did one at a time. I already had two 30: HP L 3065s operating just fine, side by side.
I added ONE 2400 Radeon card and one HP 3065. It nunmbered the new monitor 4, not three. I was however able to set up correctly in a one over two configuration (two on left and one on bottom right.)
I also tried An applicatio ACDSEE and lo an behold it correctly spread a high resolyution image on the left two monitors high and two across.
I then added the fouyrth monitor with a seconf Radeon 2400 card. WHat happens was now I have a monitor SIX ("6")
it seems that XP expected monitors in pairs and automatically added two inactive monitors, 3 and 5, and they even show up as icons.
Now, I can get some programs to work correctly, just ignoring the two 'inactive monitors (they are set up one over the other on the right side. For some reason I have the active 4 in a 2x2 tile with 2 and 3 on top (somehow now old "4" is "3" when "6" was added. Applications spread the images out, but when I launch ACDSEE if I try to go from "Maximize" it just doesnt do anything. However Thumbs plus seems to have it figured out and images are correct in the 2x2 5,000x3600 pixel arrangement.
I think these inactive monitors, are getting in the way. They are like amputated limbs; they are not really there but some parts of the computer brain act as if they were! :-)
can someojne help? I think If I can just get rid of the inactive monitors (I suspect ACDSEE is trying to spread full size images over them) then things will be better.
Anyway, any help appreciated.
regards
Victor
