I have 10 Dell Optiplex GX620 Small Form PC's they all have Windows XP SP2 on them and are all portraying the Same Problems. Upon Log off, so a new user can log on or shut down the PC Blue Screens, with 2 Different Errors.
1.) PFN_LIST_CORRUPT Stop: 0x0000004E
or
2.) IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Stop: 0x0000000A
Step 1. First he had me boot into safe mode and have me run Last Known Good Configuration, this did not work and the same problem occured
Step 2. Dell tech had me install Regcur, he said he believed it was from a Windows Update that corrupted the registry on all the PC's
I ran it on two of the PC's and they are still giving me the same problem, it did find a lot of errors but did not fix the problem of the BSOD.
Step 3. The Next two steps he recommended it reinstalling the OS and see if that fixes the problem.
but I have 10 workstations that are doing this, and I really do not want to reinstall Windows and Office and reconfigure the Machines for the Domain.
Step 4. The Fourth thing he said is that after the reinstall if it is still having the problem, they will send out some new Ram because it's possibly memory.
